You are five months old! You continue to think you are bigger than you really are and are completely infatuated with your brother. It is the most adorable thing I've seen. You also love to talk! You are babbling and screaming all day long. It really is true how parents can just zone their kids out :) Next thing we know we realize you have been talking for 20 minutes and still going!
One thing we are not too trilled about is you utter disdain for the car. You are seriously going to drive us crazy if you don't start liking the car. You will be laughing and talking to us but the second we shut the door, you instantly start crying; and don't stop until we get you out of the car seat. Daddy has to make up silly songs for you to only sometimes stop crying. But only Daddy can sing; you don't care about anyone else.
I have noticed that you are not a comfort nurser. Your brother would always nurse forever, but you? Nope. You eat and you're done. It's kind of nice actually. But you do love to be worn all the time! You are starting to like the Lillebaby carrier, thankfully, which is much better on my back than the ring sling. I even went to a baby wearing meeting recently to have someone teach me how to nurse better in the ring sling.
We had your four month appointment about a week after you turned four months and after I posted the last update. You lost almost a pound since you were sick a few weeks before and your pediatrician was concerned even though you were still in the 44th percentile for your weight at 15.7 pounds and 77th percentile for your height at 25.25 inches. She "strongly recommended" I start feeding you solids since she thought you were hungry and not getting enough to eat. Pretty much saying I am not making enough milk for you. But she didn't seem to take into consideration that you were just sick with what was most likely RSV. I, of course, disagree since food before one year old is really just for fun to learn textures and tastes. We actually saw a new pediatrician for Trenton during his last fever episode and I felt way more comfortable with him so I think we will be switching since I didn't completely agree with everything your original pediatrician said.
Something else you have discovered is your hands. You will lay there and wiggle your hands in front of your face like it is the neatest thing around. You also love to stick out your tongue! And spit. That I am not too fond of but it's still cute. Your feet have also become a fun toy for you to play with. You will grab them and roll around. Speaking of rolling, you roll all the time now! Back adn forth and scooting around so you can see better; you are always moving.
I love your giggles and smiles so much! Everyone at Boys Town loves you too and always looks forward to seeing you. Even though you don't like to stay asleep longer than 30 minutes during the day and 2 hours at night, for the most part you are a wonderful and easy baby. I keep wondering what your personality is going to be like and how you are going to continue getting along with your brother. Right now you both love playing with each other and Trenton is always sharing his toys with you. You both lay on the floor together and he gives you a car of his to play with. I know you will fight at times, but I really hope your relationship continues to be like it is now.
The next time I write, we will have another announcement to share! Daddy and I are super excited about what will happen next. And no, Mommy is not pregnant ;)
I love you my sweet little baby boy!
LoveAlways,
Mommy
Walking with Daddy! Don't you look so cute in your hoddie and shoes :)
You both love to play in Trenton's bed together
It's your first St. Patrick's Day!!! Look at that wild hair
You have started a phase of grabbing people and eating their faces. Including your brother. Except he sticks his tongue out as well. Pretty gross if you ask me!
You are always sticking your tongue out too
My handsome little boy. You are growing too quickly!
It finally started warming up for a few days and all the snow melted so we got to play on the playground!
I love all my boys :)
You always have your fingers in your mouth just chewing away. Bath time is also one of your favorite times. Especially when you and Trenton take a bath together
Look at my smiley little munchkin!
Classic example of your brother sharing his cars with you
Look at my twinsies! Trenton is on the left at five months and you are on the right. There is absolutely no denying that you are brothers
